How to Get Rid of Acne and Blackheads on Chin Naturally: 7 Effective Tips

Acne and blackheads are just one of those things that are not welcome on any girl’s face at any cost. But there is one thing that is worse than acne and blackheads. It’s both these things happening on the chin.

Okay so hear me out, I swear nobody has built a foundation that works on these suckers. When you do apply it, your chin looks like it comes from a different shade zone compared to the rest of your face. I know how meaningless it feels, going to a salon for a thing that seems tiny but can ruin the look of your face very easily.

And just because I really do feel the pain of all my sisters out there, I bring you a list to get rid of these painful, small, and angry looking monsters. The best part, you can do them all at home.

7. Banana Peel

Okay, I just want to clarify that a banana peel does serve a greater purpose rather than just amusing us when someone slips on it. I know it’s shocking. They help you get rid of acne and blackheads when scrubbed on your chin. All you need to do is crush some banana peel and mix it with yogurt. Now apply it on your chin as a mask for 10 to 15 minutes. You can take it off with cold water by gently massaging your skin. Do this regularly and you’ll see the stark difference by yourself only. The paste will open your pores and will remove the dirt particles stuck in your skin causing acne and blackheads in the first place. Ladies whatever you do, don’t forget to ice that chin of yours after you’re done with any mast. You don’t want to leave your pores open now, do you?

6. Clove

So clove is one of those things that are always present in every household. A lot of people use it to relieve tooth pain. But what most people don’t know is that clove can also remove acne and blackheads effectively. All you need to do is boil a few cloves until they soften. Now smash them to make a paste and apply it on your chin. Leave it there for about 30 to 45 minutes and then take it off with cold water. Keep in mind that the paste might feel cold and sting a little. This happens due to the cold properties of a clove. There is a way to skip all this hassle if you have clove oil present at your house. Then you can just apply the oil before sleeping at night. Trust me, ladies, the clove will bid farewell to your acne and blackheads for good.

5. Lemon Juice

As you can see, I wasn’t lying when I said you can try all these techniques at home. So when it comes to lemon juice, it comes on the more stingy side of the things. Lemon juice or any citrus fruit or vegetable is acidic in nature. So when you apply it to your chin, it expands your pores and kills the acne and blackheads from the inside. Now some people suggest applying it directly onto your skin. But my suggestion is that always dilute it a speck of baking soda and milk. Lemon juice sometimes when applied directly can cause an acidic reaction with the face. This leaves more acne and blackheads on your skin than what you started with. Diluting the mixture will lessen the sting but it will take out the acne and blackheads just as effectively as a concentrated solution of lemon juice would have.

4. Sandalwood

Let’s make use of something more aromatic than the previous things on the list. So sandalwood can be used in two ways. You can either get pre – grounded powder from the market or soak a sandalwood stick in hot water to make a paste. Now the things you need to add to your sandalwood are a speck of gram flour and a spoon of yogurt. Squeeze a couple of drops of lemon juice in there as well. Don’t go overboard with the lemon though as it will make your skin sting. Now apply the paste on your chin and leave it there for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse it off with cold water. The lemon will kill the impurities inside your skin while the yogurt with rejuvenate it. Lastly, the sandalwood will heal your skin and leave you with a glow which will light up your face.

3. Tomato Juice

Tomato Juice is another one of citrus vegetables that can do wonders for your skin. A tomato contains acidic properties which we have learned so far are not great friends of acne and blackheads. This kills the acne and blackheads within your pores. Tomato is also a natural antioxidant which rejuvenates your skin leaving a sheen glow on your face. Now all you need to do is rub a slice of tomato flesh side up on your chin for 5 minutes. Doing this will evenly distribute the juice and will open up your pores. Leave it like that for 25 minutes and rinse off with cold water. Why I’ve suggested rinsing everything off with cold water is as it closes your pores instantly after taking anything off your face. Do this thrice a week and you will see staggering differences after doing it for just two weeks only.

2. Oatmeal and Sugar

Don’t worry; this won’t lead to you eating any oatmeal. Oatmeal is a great exfoliating agent and can be found in many scrubs and washes. It’s grainy texture opens up your pores and cleans all the impurities inside them. What you need to do is grind a teaspoon of oatmeal into a fine powder. Add a tablespoon of sugar to it. Now add half a teaspoon of any oil of your preference (coconut oil and olive oil are a couple of examples). Stir all these ingredients to into a fine paste and apply it on your chin. Leave it on for 10 minutes and remove it by gently scrubbing it out with cold water. The sugar and oatmeal will clear up your face and the oil will leave a light glow. Your skin will be thoroughly exfoliated and extremely soft without any acne and blackheads in sight.

1. Steam

This is where that ancient steamer that your mom has probably kept all these years comes in play. But don’t worry; you can use this technique even if you don’t have the steamer. All you need to do is boil a pot of water. Now put your face directly above the pot while the steam is still coming out. Put a towel over your head so the steam doesn’t escape. Do it for 2-3 minutes in one go as it can be harmful for your pores if done for long. The steam will open your pores and will kill all the acne and blackheads present in your roots. The steam also makes your skin feel softer and fairer as it’s a great way to de-tan your face. Do this process once a week and you will see how you can get rid of acne and blackheads in a jiffy.

There you have it guys. All these techniques can be done at home saving you money and the hassle of going out. What’s great is that you can use them all to remove acne and blackheads from any part of your body and not just the chin. So go ahead and try those ones whichever suits you the best. Don’t forget to leave a comment down below telling us which one was your favorite.
