“The measure of intelligence is the ability to change.”

Albert Einstein

Any method or tool on the planet would not be sufficient to measure the intelligence of any individual but yet here we are having numerous psychological assessments to get a glimpse of forthcoming geniuses.

IQ shortened for Intelligence Quotient is also a standardized test designed for measuring intellectual abilities.

Intelligence is a broad and complex field. On one hand, it comprises logical reasoning, problem-solving on the other it also includes creativity, social intelligence, and many other factors so IQ is an inexact science something which is not entirely correct. Guinness world record removed this category long ago for the same reason but to an extent, it does work for alienating the extraordinary people from the bunch.

The whole process of calculations is quite tedious but the results are pretty simple.

The graph we obtain for a crowd is bell-shaped, with maximum people having the average intelligence and very few on either side.

Below are the ranges of scores and what do they represent:

·    Over 140 – Genius or near genius

·    120 – 140 – Very superior intelligence

·    110 – 119 – Superior intelligence

·    90 – 109 – Normal or average intelligence

·    80 – 89 – Dullness

·    70 – 79 – Borderline deficiency

·    Under 70 – Definite feeble-mindedness
